Three common processing methods for prototype models
Generally speaking, there are three common processing methods for making prototype models, mainly CNC machining, 3d printing, and vacuum copying. The customer’s needs are different, and the processing methods used are also different. Shoubanchang will follow the customer’s specific conditions to choose the appropriate processing method. In fact, there are also customers who make prototypes, which will allow us to quote the price of three processing methods. Each of the three processing methods has its own advantages and costs are different, so the prices are also very different! pom sheet
1. CNC hand board:
The processing accuracy is the highest among the three processing methods, which can reach ± 0.05mm. The main materials for CNC hand board processing are: ABS, PC, PMMA, PA, POM, Bakelite. Among them, ABS is the most common and most commonly used plastic material. PC sheet PC and PMMA are used for processing transparent parts. The CNC machining prototype model is characterized by fast processing speed, low cost, and high machining accuracy. Moreover, the choice of materials is wide, which can ensure the consistency of the materials of the prototype model and the materials of the mass-produced parts. The authenticity of the hand plate is strong, and the surface quality of the abs plate can reach a very high level. After subsequent processing such as grinding, polishing, sandblasting, painting, silk screen printing, UV, electroplating, the production effect is completely comparable to the products produced by the mold. Therefore, when making plastic prototypes, if you need to make a small number, and at the same time the performance requirements of the opponents are relatively high, you can use CNC processing. 2. Compound mold hand:
Its material is liquid TPU, and its performance is similar to ABS and PC. For small batches of about 10 to 100 sets of plastic products, this processing technology is the most suitable, and the price cycle has advantages, which is a good way to process products in short batches. The dimensional accuracy of its prototype (model) is not high, and the material used is epoxy resin, not real plastic. It is suitable for small batch fast copy. abs board
3D printed prototyping:
The commonly used 3D printing process is SLA photosensitive resin laser molding, which is more suitable for some parts with complex shapes and fine surfaces, such as toys and crafts. Its processing accuracy is lower than CNC processing, and the material is more brittle. The plastic handboard produced is not conducive to structural certification, but it can complete the positions that CNC processing cannot. Therefore, this processing method is often used for a complex structure with low strength requirements. Shouban material
